A Tourist’s Overview Of Uncovering Valley Of The Kings

This is the Valley of The Kings, one of Egypt’s most recognized archaeological sites and top travel destinations for history buffs. One of the Ancient world’s most famous burial sites,

the Valley of Kings is situated on Nile’s west bank close to Luxor where many pharaohs and powerful nobles from the New Kingdom period rested. Pure-Trip-24 is here to help you enjoy the maximum of your time while visiting the Valley of the Kings with all that you should know.

History of the Valley of the Kings

The Valley of the Kings was the royal cemetery for more than 60 pharaohs (King Tutankhamun, Ramses VI, and Tuthmosis III) of the New Kingdom, in a forked system of valleys on the west bank at Luxor.

It was selected because it is set so far back from other areas that a natural defense would prohibit tomb raiders. Some of our popular ones include those with their elaborate wall paintings; hieroglyphs as well as the burial chambers in different tombs.
